Back to Neptune'.s Grotto (Cove of Neptune) Reviews of Neptune'.s Grotto (Cove of Neptune).) all the stairs to see the grotto. It' s impossible not to be awed by the natural beauty of the grotto. Now know what it feels like to be made to "walk the plank. don' t take the Young childen, the elderly or anyone with manoeverability difficulties. If you go by boat, all the party need to be able to get on and off without your help. If you I give get to there though it' s to really wonderful experience. This review is the subjective opinion of to TripAdvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. “.Seriously, TAKE THE BUS, unless walking/climbing is to problem for you”. The advantages of taking the Alghero-Capo I hunt bus to are as follows: - you can be 100% sure of seeing the caves. If you get the bus, there' s zero chance of disappointment - to return bus ticket costs 4 euros, the boat is 10 (ok not to big deal) - the BIGGEST reason -- the STEPS leading to and from the hollow are, in my opinion, as much an attraction as the caves themselves. The views from the walk to are incredible (see photos) and breathtaking. In comparison, the views you get from the boat, of the coastline, to are nice but not spectacular. (know this from the dive boat the took out, not from the Head I hunt boat). We even saw baby seagulls in their nests only to couple of metres from the walkway. There to were 4 tourists on the buses, compared to about the 40 tourists on the boat the day went. You can stretch out and relax. The bus laughs is only about 50 minutes each way. (see photos) You can then enjoy to few hours at the bus Bomb dropping gears and then get later back to Alghero. This would work for any other destination on the return journey, such as Contes Doors etc. -- OK, the walk back UP the stairs isn' t easy. It would have been an easier ascent, except we spent I know much Time in the caves taking photos that we left ourselves only 15 minutes to climb back up. The should mention, though, that the steps themselves to are in fantastic shape. Not broken or dangerous in the slightest. Very impressive, the thought, for 50 year old Italian construction work. But its really not problem at all. - you kind of have to plan when you' king going in advance, since to there to are limited numbers of buses each day. In the off-season, September to May inclusive, to there is only one, leaving at 9:15 am and returning at 12pm. This review is the subjective opinion of to TripAdvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC you can Park right by the entrance although the imagine its limited in peak season. there is then to stairway down the face of the cliff to the grotto consisting of 656 steps, the views to are great. ounces you get to the bottom to there is to the 10 euro charge to enter the grotto (with guided tour) and its very impressive. the only minor downside is that you have to trek back up the steps. overall would strongly reccomend this trip. The have to agree with the other reviews, we to were in Alghero last year and took to boat trip to the grotto. Sea The was actually too rough to get into the caves but they still took us out, just around the bay. Apparently they I give this all the Time I know as not to miss out on your money, bad experience. What was GOOD though our faith was restored when we went on to day trip on an old sailing boat called Andrea Jensen. We had read to review on Tripadvisor and someone had written that it was the best day of their holiday. The owners to are an English couple very welcoming and friendly, only take small groups I know to there is plenty of room. We saw dolphins on the way out and then anchored in to beautiful spot for swimming and snorkelling. Had to wonderful lunch with wine and then sailed back to Alghero. Fabulous experience and great value, my husband and our two children really enjoyed it, highly reccommended. This review is the subjective opinion of to TripAdvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
